Piano moving in Hawthorn
Piano removals in Hawthorn
Hawthorn has a long musical tradition, with renowned schools, music teachers and families who play, and some of Melbourne’s most impressive homes. Victorian mansions and Edwardian villas sit alongside interwar flats and modern student apartments near Glenferrie Road and Swinburne.
Large period homes often have long driveways, formal entrances and grand staircases, while flats and apartments bring narrow common stairs and lifts. We plan each move around the real access and protect every surface along the way.
Schools and music departments
We move pianos between school buildings, music rooms and halls, and deliver new instruments to music departments. Moves can be scheduled outside class times.
Grands and fine instruments
Many Hawthorn homes have grand pianos and quality European uprights. Each is secured, padded and strapped, and grands are dismantled and moved on a skid board, then reassembled and levelled.

Read them all on GoogleGabriel and his team were very professional and respectful in moving my upright Kawai piano on a 45’ slope. He made it look so easy (when it’s not) and proactively looked out for uneven grounds and gave advice on how to maneuver the piano to his team every step of the way. 10/10 for service and professionalism. Highly recommend VPT!
Highly recommended. We hired Gabriel to move our Baby Grand Piano as he had great reviews and he did not disappoint. It was raining but they waited it out and transported the piano with great care. They were punctual, friendly, excellent communication and a great price. Thank you Gabriel and team. A+++
Sought the help Gabriel and his team for moving an upright piano looking at the great reviews. He did not disappoint, it was raining heavily but the job was done professionally and with no hassles. Stairs, no problem; rain, no problem, consider the job well done. Thanks much to Gabriel and his team for the help.
Both Gabriel and Gin very professional, it was a pleasure to see these guys arrive on time, carefully delivering our piano to our home with kit gloves, this meant a lot to us and they were very sensitive to our requests. No trouble at all to get the job done perfectly. I highly recommend this company to whomever needs a piano removed or delivered. Andrea.
Very happy that I got Gabriel and Pete to move my Yamaha U3. The move required over lawn, outdoor stairs, 6 internal stairs, and tight spaces. They did a fabulous job. Very happy with the price, service, communication. Definitely recommend.
Victorian Piano Transport provided an exceptional piano moving experience. Incredibly prompt. No nonsense. Gabriel and his team were very careful with the piano during the move as well as floor surfaces in both locations. Competitively priced. Would definitely recommend and would use again.
This company 's service was wonderful. On time courteous and efficient. They took great care on moving my upright piano down a tricky flight of stairs. I would highly recommend them
Gabriel and Mich were fantastic! They responded promptly to my inquiries, arrived right on time, and moved our baby grand piano with expert care. They're friendly, experienced, and reasonably priced. Highly recommend!
Just had my dad's precious baby grand piano relocated and the guys did an amazing job. So easy to deal with and highly skilled and professional. We have a large number of steps at our property and they negotiated them with ease and care!!
We are incredibly grateful to the team today. Moving an upright piano is no small task, and despite getting stuck in the lift at one point, they remained calm, professional, and absolutely determined to get the job done. They truly worked like heroes to bring our piano safely up to level one! Their strength, persistence, and positive attitude made a stressful situation so much easier for us. Highly recommend — thank you again for your amazing effort!
I couldn't be happier with the piano moving service from Gabrielle and his team. Clear communication, on time, efficient and handled the piano with great care. Thank you!!
Excellent job on a delivery piano to our apartment. Great communication and friendly service. Would recommend it everyone without any hesitation.
I called these guys at 7pm on a Friday evening with an urgent request to move an old upright piano that would have been trashed otherwise. They were able to sort things out for me very quickly and the piano was moved efficiently a few days later. Competitive rate too. Very happy!
Gabriel did an excellent job moving a piano that we had bought. From organising the job to being prompt on the day through to the utmost care in moving the piano. Hopefully we won’t have to move a piano again for a while but I wouldn’t hesitate to give him a call if I had to!
