And in Frankston South the ground rises steeply, with homes perched above the bay on sloping blocks with long driveways and garden steps.
That last group is where planning really matters. A steep driveway or a run of uneven garden steps is perfectly manageable with the right trolley, boards and enough crew, but it is not something to discover on the day. We ask about the gradient, the surface and the number of steps, and we plan the route so the piano is controlled from above and below the whole way.
For apartments, we check the lift and loading arrangements first. For everything else, the piano is wrapped in padded covers, strapped, travels upright in our truck and is placed exactly where you want it.
